Southern U.S. Needs Your Help |
|
It is not the mission of College Hill
eNewsletter to cover national news but the devastation
that Katrina brought onto the Gulf states has surely affected
us all. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families who
have lost loved ones and for the many thousands who need our
support.
ARCH has posted a list of charitable
organizations collecting money and supplies so badly needed by
the victims of Katrina. Click on the link below.

Aiken News |
|
Summer Bridge, a transition program for new
9th graders, took place during the week of August 15 - 19.
Students participated in a scavenger hunt to learn their way
around the building, developed combination lock skills during
a relay race, built rockets and ski jumps with GE engineers
and Ohio State students, studied hair analysis during Crime
Scene Investigation, and learned about forensic anthropology
during a lecture and tour of the University of Cincinnati. The
students gave rave reviews of the program and were totally
prepared to begin school on August 23!
The new uniform policy at Aiken is going
well. The young men and women in Aiken's Traditional, Service
Learning and University schools have never looked better and
are to be congratulated for displaying Falcon Pride - SWOOP!
Aiken faculty and staff will soon be
joining the ever increasing membership of College Hill
eNewsletter. Welcome, folks.
