Boom! Shullers Demolition Starts June 20 |
|
Be a part of history-in-the-making. Be at the Shullers lot
on Tuesday, June 20, at 10:00 am to cheer the demolition crew
as they ram the building and bring it down.
The Mayor has been invited to say a few words. Listen also to
community leaders, the City of Cincinnati and the development
team's latest plans for Linden Park--our new town center--a
mix of metropolitan condominiums and neighborhood hot spots.
After the big boom, stop by the Coffee Company across the
street for some refreshments, too. While you're there, talk to
Neyer representatives about your reservation to purchase a
Linden Park condo. Imagine being a trendsetter, living in the
heart of all the development going on in College Hill.
For more information, contact Marty Weldishofer
(513-681-4210), Director of Community Development, College
Hill Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation.

National Night Out Returns Tuesday, August 1
|
|
College Hill’s third annual National Night Out celebration
will include a community cookout, live entertainment, face
painting, visits from police and fire units and more. Come
meet your local police and fire departments and enjoy a summer
evening building police-community partnerships in College
Hill.
This neighborhood super-party will be held Tuesday evening,
August 1, in the College Hill Presbyterian Church parking lot
from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. It is sponsored by the College Hill
Forum.
On that evening, leave your porch lights on to light the
way to a safer community, leave your car at home and walk the
beautiful tree-lined streets of College Hill to meet with
friends and neighbors for a community cookout. The National
Night Out celebration's purpose is to promote police-community
partnerships; prevent crime, drugs and violence, and improve
safety and neighborhood unity.
At the party, the Forum will be collecting school supplies
for Aiken High School students, so bring notebooks, paper,
pens, three ring binders, or other supplies.

eNewsletter Marks First Anniversary, Asks for
Subscriber Feedback |
|
This, the 44th issue of the College Hill eNewsletter,
marks our first anniversary. Since our first issue on June 18,
2005, we've emailed 31,674 copies containing articles about
our "Diverse and Neighborly Community." Our initial
distribution to 240 folks has grown to 830 subscribers, a
number that continues to grow as people forward copies of the
eNewsletter to their friends.
Your editor thanks you for your support. In particular, we
thank those of you who send us the news we publish. We can't
possibly know everything that's going on in College Hill, and
we certainly can't write all the articles, so it's our
contributors who make this publication interesting to you.
We're continually looking for ways to make this newsletter
better, so we'd like your feedback--what you like that we
should keep doing or do more of, what you don't like that we
should stop doing or do less of, what you aren't seeing that
you'd like to see, and what changes you'd like to see us make.
Click below for a simple, easy-to-complete survey. We'll
report on what you tell us in a future issue.
